Welcome to Tuesday of Week 21! Today's recipe is all about quick and delicious Fish Tacos. These tacos are filled with crispy fish fillets, fresh toppings, and a zesty sauce. It's a perfect dish for a busy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

For the Fish:

  • 500 grams of white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

For the Tacos:

  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Sliced avocado
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges

For the Zesty Sauce:

  • 125 grams of sour cream
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200Β°C (400Β°F).
  2. Season the fish fillets with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  4. Warm the flour tortillas in the oven for a few minutes, until soft and pliable.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, lime juice, hot sauce (if using), salt, and pepper to make the zesty sauce.
  6. To assemble the tacos, place a fish fillet on each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, chopped cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice. Drizzle with the zesty sauce.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your Quick Fish Tacos!
