Welcome to Tuesday of Week 21! Today's recipe is all about quick and delicious Fish Tacos. These tacos are filled with crispy fish fillets, fresh toppings, and a zesty sauce. It's a perfect dish for a busy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
For the Fish:
- 500 grams of white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
For the Tacos:
- 8 small flour tortillas
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Sliced avocado
- Chopped cilantro
- Lime wedges
For the Zesty Sauce:
- 125 grams of sour cream
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200Β°C (400Β°F).
- Season the fish fillets with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish fillets and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat.
- Warm the flour tortillas in the oven for a few minutes, until soft and pliable.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, lime juice, hot sauce (if using), salt, and pepper to make the zesty sauce.
- To assemble the tacos, place a fish fillet on each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, chopped cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice. Drizzle with the zesty sauce.
